Lincoln Public Schools Families,
We will continue sending you a monthly update with important information and reminders.
Just a reminder that finalized first quarter report cards will be available to families of middle and high school students by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Student Vote started in 1992 and is held every two years during the week prior to the general election. The event aims to empower students to be engaged, active, and informed members of their school, community, state, and nation.
This year’s Student Vote Election is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2. Students in grades 4-12 will learn about the importance of voting, the role of youth in elections, voting rights and how to vote. A sample ballot for Student Vote outlining the candidates and issues that our students will have the opportunity to vote on can be found here.
Watch for the results on our website after 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 2!
Our Focus Programs offer high school students an ever-increasing array of options to follow their passions and develop skills that will serve them well beyond high school. Learn more about our Focus Programs during upcoming information night opportunities in November. Visit our website for more information, dates and times.
All LPS households should have a login to ParentVUE in order to access important school information about their child. This includes current attendance, grading and reports cards each quarter. Please contact your student’s school office for information on setting up your account or for questions on how to use this important portal. Check out our website for more information.
Families can easily report a child’s full day absence without having to call the school by using ParentVUE. Note: Partial day absences still require a call to the office to specify what time the student will be gone.
Just follow these easy steps on your computer or through the app on your phone:
Each month LPS publishes Community News in an effort to help share family-friendly community events and activities from non-profit organizations. Check out the November edition preview of Community News online.
