Lincoln Public Schools is aware of some families receiving a text message this morning from our mass notification system – School Messenger – asking them to verify they would like to receive text messages from LPS. This is a valid request and if you do wish to receive text messages from LPS, please respond with Y. If you do not wish to receive text messages from LPS you do not need to respond.
If you did not receive this verification message and do not currently receive text messages from your child’s school and you would like to start, please contact your child’s school office and indicate you would like to update your child’s record to start receiving text messages in addition to phone and email messages from our mass notification system.

LLCHD Information About COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department provides the following information below about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Everyone 12 years old and up is eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Sign up and schedule an appointment online at COVID19.lincoln.ne.gov. For registration and scheduling assistance call 402-441-8006.

Special Work Session
The Lincoln Board of Education will meet for a Special Work Session at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Lincoln Public Schools District Office, 5905 O St. The meeting will take place in the boardroom. Members of the public and media may access the meetings via live video streaming or by physically attending the meetings, which are subject to all national, state and local limitations on public gatherings associated with COVID-19. The purpose of the Special Work Session is for the Board to review proposals for superintendent search firms.

Regular Meeting
The Lincoln Board of Education will hold its Regular Meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 6:00 p.m. located in the boardroom at Lincoln Public Schools District Office, 5905 O St.
Members of the public and media may access the meetings via live video streaming or by physically attending the meetings, which are subject to all national, state and local limitations on public gatherings associated with COVID-19. Following the current Directed Health Measure from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, face coverings over the mouth and nose will be REQUIRED inside for all who attend the meeting in person.
